Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program

Training Led by Ayurvedic Doctor Allison Morse
Next Program Begins October 2024

At The Mahatma School of Ayurveda through The Ayurvedic Center of Vermont, our Ayurvedic Health Counselor training is unique, as it is run under a Panchakarma clinic and taught by a group of highly skilled practitioners, that are also educators. Our faculty includes Ayurvedic Doctors and Ayurvedic Practitioners including a Naturopath, a Chinese Medicine Doctor and a Western trained M.D.  Our clinic is known nationally for its offerings and we continue to share our experience through education. While studying to become an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, you will continue to support your own self healing as you become trained professionally to help others realize their own self healing.

This 14-month, 400 hour program will train you to have the scope of practice to meet one-on-one with clients and address general imbalances within the Ayurvedic paradigm. A 200 Hour foundations program is the prerequiste to this course (see FAQs below for more information).

Ayurveda is distinctively profound in addressing the individual with simple, safe and effective remedies with the guidance of a well trained counselor. Those who complete our program will be awarded a certificate of completion allowing you to sit for the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) certification exam. Graduates who pass the exam and meet NAMA’s requirements, may choose to register with NAMA as a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC). Students may continue their studies through advanced training and become an Ayurvedic Practitioner or Ayurvedic Doctor.
