  • Allison Morse, Ayurvedic Doctor

    Allison Bransfield Morse, A.D. is a NAMA recognized Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine. With over 20 years of experience as an Ayurvedic practitioner, her focus is on Panchakarma. Allison began studying yoga in 1995 at the Sivananda Yoga Center in New York City and traveled to Kerala, India, in 1999 to complete their Yoga Teacher Training Program. In 1998, she graduated from the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in New York City. Allison spent 5 years at The Ayurvedic Institute, in New Mexico, under the direct guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad. She completed two years of study under Dr. Lad, before embarking on a four year clinical apprenticeship in The Ayurvedic Institute’s Panchakarma clinic. In 2005, she joined Dr. Lad in Pune, India, for advanced clinical studies. After 5 years with The Ayurvedic Institute, Allison founded The Ayurvedic Center of Vermont in 2006, where she has the privilege of guiding clients from all over the country in Ayurvedic care and Panchakarma. In 2017, Allison started The Mahatma School of Ayurveda where she is lead faculty and program director for a 200 Hour Ayurveda Integration Program teaching students from various backgrounds how to integrate Ayurveda into their professional and personal lives. Allison currently serves as Secretary to the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and is an Ambassador for Banyan Botanicals. The prevailing focus of her work is the integration of Ayurveda with conventional medical approaches, to promote healing through the body’s intuitive wisdom. She is experienced in applying herbal medicine, diet and Ayurvedic remedies to a variety of clinical disorders including cancer, hypertension, musculoskeletal disorders, digestive disorders, weight-loss, depression, anxiety, insomnia, women’s health issues, and many other ailments.

  • Dr. Margrit Mikulis, Doctor of Naturopathy & Ayurveda

    Dr. Margrit Mikulis is the owner of Living Natural Inc., which is an establised center for natural healthcare and Family Medical Practice in New Hampshire and Vermont. She is a Naturopathic Docotor as well as an Ayurvedic Doctor and has been in practice for over a decade. For the past 10 years she has served as a clinical faculty member at the Kripalu Institute for the Kripalu School of Ayurveda in Lenox, Massachusetts and currently serves as the President of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association.

    Dr. Mikulis is known and loved for her dynamic integrative approach to health care. She utilizes Naturopathy, Ayurveda, classical Homeopathy and the European traditions of Anthroposophical medicine in supporting the health needs of families throughout the United States. She has treated an array of diseases and maintains specialties within the fields of vector borne illness, infectious and autoimmune disease, cancer, food and environmental allergies, and nutritional deficiencies.

  • Dr. Claudia Welch, Doctor of Oriental Medicine

    Dr. Claudia Welch has been a lifelong student of life and medicine. She has practiced Āyurveda, has worked in Eastern medicine education, is licensed as Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and the author of “Balance Your Hormones, Balance Your Life: Achieving Optimal Health and Wellness Through Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine and Western Science” and “The Four Qualities of Effective Physicians: Practical Ayurvedic Wisdom for Modern Physicians”.

    Dr. Welch has lectured internationally on Oriental medicine and Ayurveda, exploring how Eastern medicine applies to Women’s Health, and today’s reality in general. She has served on the teaching faculty of The Ayurvedic Institute, Kripalu School of Ayurveda, Southwest Acupuncture College and Acupractice Seminars.

  • Adena Rose Bright, Ayurvedic Practitioner

    Adena Rose Bright is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist certified by the Kripalu School of Ayurveda. Adena teaches yoga to Panchakarma clients, and is a therapist for Abhyanga, Swedana and Shirodhara.

    Adena is also certified in Maya Abdominal Therapy, and her work focuses on food as medicine and women’s health and fertility. Adena is passionate about the local food movement, and became interested in Ayurveda through a desire to connect more deeply with the seasonal rhythms of Vermont. Ayurveda is about a deep connection with nature, the environment within and without, cultivating wholeness.

  • Richard G. Powell, Ayurvedic Practitioner

    Richard G. Powell (Dhyānānanda) – is a certified Āyurvedic Practitioner and is a graduate of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, NM. He has studied extensively under Dr. Vasant Lad both in the US and in India. He furthered his studies of Ayurveda and Vedic philosophy under Dr. Ashwin Shastry of Arogya Niketana in Karnataka, India. Richard is currently enrolled in an advanced physician’s program at the Arogya Center in Albuquerque, NM, under Kāśyapa Fisher and Nomi Gallo. In addition to Āyurveda, Richard has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for 18 of those years. He is an avid student of Sanskrit, Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) and Vedic philosophy. He has studied Vedic Astrology in the Mantriji / Hart DeFouw lineage under Alison Bodhani and currently studies under Penny Farrow. In addition to his studies in the Vedic sciences Richard is a Reiki Master and is an avid practitioner of Aikido, the Japanese martial art. He brings his multifaceted healing experience into his consultations with his clients to empower them to make healthier lifestyle choices and to expand their spiritual practice.

  • Renée Rossi, MD, MA-Ay, MFA

    Dr. Rossi is a NAMA certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She practiced Otolaryngology for over 30 years and served as Asst. Professor of Otolaryngology, University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and Instructor in Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School. Currently, she serves as Clinical Faculty and Supervisor for the CAP/Masters and AHC programs at Mt. Madonna Institute and served as the MMI Interim Chair of Ayurveda in 2021.

    Dr. Rossi co-founded the Texas division of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and is a long term medical volunteer with Cape CARES in Honduras. Her teaching interests include integration of allopathy and Ayurveda and the effects of trauma on health.

  • Lauren Gernady, Academic Coordinator

    Lauren Gernady is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and a 500-hour Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher. Graduate of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda (KSA), former intern and Academic Coordinator of KSA (2017-2022). Now residing in Vermont, Lauren oversees the curriculum development and academic arm of The Mahatma School of Āyurveda.

    With a deep commitment to the study of Vedic traditions, Lauren spreads her love of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Jyotish through writing, teaching, mentoring and 1:1 consultations. Deeply steeped in these ancient practices, she has an empirical understanding of the transformational power of Ayurveda through diet, lifestyle interventions, clinical work, and Pancakarma.
